Positive Reviews
positive:
Quiet at night
Guests wanting to escape the constant buzz and excitement of central Amsterdam find this hotel to be a welcome relief. You are only one stop from the centre of town from the local railway station yet it feels a world away. The hotel is also well located for anyone travelling from the airport being just two stops away by train.
positive:
Better value than in the town centre
Hotels in Amsterdam have a reputation for being expensive. Regular visitors to the city find that this hotel, whilst not being cheap, offers better value for money than equivalent ones in the centre of town.
positive:
Trendy and contemporary hotel
This new hotel seduces guests with its sleek and stylish design. Still benefiting from its recent construction, it feels clean, warm and modern.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Characterless area
Whilst acknowledging the proximity to the town centre by train, many guests find the hotel to be a bit far out for their liking. There is simply not a great deal going on in this bland business district with only a small splattering of restaurants.
negative:
Not worth four stars
Guests, even if they find the hotel to be agreeable on the whole, wouldn't rate it as a four-star. The facilities and the service just aren't up to scratch. Some of the rooms seem to be on the small side and the little touches that are so important to certain guests, such as slippers for the hard floor, are lacking.
negative:
Restaurant is limited
Guests often feel that the restaurant's menu is too restrictive. Not only that, it is pretty basic and over-priced. Many think the breakfast, in particular, is expensive and should be included in the room rate.
