Positive Reviews

Central location

The location of this hotel in the heart of the city makes it an excellent proposition for travellers. Guests find it extremely easy to walk around the city with attractions like City Palace, Lake Pichola and Jagdish Temple easily reachable.

Value for money

Guests describe the hotel as very economical and offering great value for money. The room rates are quite affordable considering the prime location of the hotel.

Negative Reviews

Condition of rooms

Guests are unimpressed with the state of rooms at this hotel. There is a glaring lack of cleanliness in some rooms with old furnishings and amenities. There are also no windows for ventilation which gives it a musty odour and gloomy feel. The washrooms are also in a state of disrepair.

Absence of amenities

Guests lament the absence of a basic amenity like television in most of the rooms. This is generally a standard feature in all hotels and the lack of it here leaves the guests with a sub-par experience.

Poor service

Guests are not satisfied with the service offered to them at the hotel. There is a shortage of staff and guest interactions have also been less friendly than should be expected of a heritage hotel.
