Positive Reviews

Central Chinatown location is just awesome

A great many visitors have said this hotel's location - right in the heart of buzzing Chinatown - is undoubtedly its standout feature. With markets, hawker centres, heritage sights and all manner of eateries literally within a stone's throw of the property, and a metro station just around the corner, it's very easy to see why.

Friendly receptionists are efficient and effective

The vast majority of guests who've stayed here have noted that the reception personnel do a consistently impressive job. Quick check-ins and abundant tourist information were the most appreciated aspects delivered by this small yet highly attentive team.

Hotel has plenty of charm, inside and out

Many visitors appreciated that, as well as looking very charming from the outside; this quaint, peranakan-style hotel also has some lovely retro touches on the inside too.

Negative Reviews

Accommodations are a little small

Numerous visitors have observed that some of the guest rooms here are pretty small, even by Singapore standards. The impractical layout of some accommodations was also considered to be an issue.

There's no lift

Being a heritage building means you won't find any lifts in this property. Unsurprisingly, very few guests liked having to lug their suitcases up several flights of stairs upon arrival.

Guest rooms have some unwelcome aromas

A significant number of guests have reported that they were greeted by a rather unwelcome musty smell when they first walked into their accommodation. Not what you need when staying in the tropics.
