Positive Reviews

Close proximity to top attractions

This hostel is right in the middle of Chinatown, a great location to be in, according to travellers. They like that the night market, a large variety of good restaurants, and famous sights such as the Petronas Twin Towers are all within easy reach of this hostel.

Staff is fantastic

The staff is said to be hard working, friendly and helpful. They are always ready and willing to be of assistance when called upon, and will go out of their way to help guests with directions or good advice when it comes to the many great restaurants that are close by.

Perfect for low-budget travellers

This hostel is considered to offer really good value for money, especially for those who are travelling on a shoe-string budget. Guests are really happy about the fact that they don't end up with empty pockets after their stay here.

Negative Reviews

Needs a deep clean

The overall level of cleanliness in the hostel is not considered to be one of the positives judging by the guest reviews. The shared bathrooms, dorms, and even private rooms are not up to scratch according to guests. They point out that rooms need lots of close attention and TLC to get them back up to an acceptable level.

Hot without A/C

Visitors who get a room without air conditioning find the conditions are uncomfortably hot. It often happens that those who do have air-conditioning units end up having to complain that they are not effective in cooling down the rooms either.

Insufficient bathrooms

With only one bathroom available per floor, it's no wonder guests complain about a lack of bathroom facilities. They add that, unfortunately, there's also a lack of toilets and toilet paper as well.
