Positive Reviews

Great views of the city

One of the most frequently mentioned highlights of this guest house in Kampung Baru is the incredible views of the downtown area and the city’s twin towers. Most rooms benefit from a view but if yours doesn’t, you can head up to the rooftop terrace.

Friendly staff

Although there are occasional language barriers, most previous guests have found the staff here to be welcoming and friendly throughout their stay. The staff is happy to help with things like arranging taxis and arranging airport transportation.

Near restaurants and public transport

Guests have found the location of this guest house reasonably appealing, particularly in relation to the choice of area restaurants and the ease of access to public transport services at the nearby LRT station.

Negative Reviews

Rooms could be improved

Feedback concerning the standard of the rooms here is a little mixed and it’s fair to say that not all guests have been satisfied with the quality of the accommodation. Issues include saggy mattresses and stale smelling carpets.

Early morning call to prayers

Be prepared for an early morning wake up call here. Guests report that the muezzin’s call to morning prayer at a nearby mosque are very loud and occur around five to six o’clock in the morning.

Distinct lack of nearby bars

This guest house is situated in a Malay-muslim area so finding a nearby bar for something as simple as a beer has proved tricky for previous guests.
