Positive Reviews

Clean and modern

Everywhere is extremely clean and benefits as the result of a modern and minimalist theme. This also helps to create a feeling of spaciousness. Prices are very reasonable so the overall impression is one of exceptionally good value.

Restful rooms

The room is comfortable and so too is the bed.

Talking points

Conference people find the hotel’s conference and meeting rooms to be ideal. After a day’s work, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to explore, although the in-house restaurant is good too – and it is reasonably priced.

Negative Reviews

Air and hairy problems

There are things that are missing. The promised hairdryer is nowhere to be seen and they have either cut costs or run out of money in the air conditioning budget. The bathroom, for instance, is not air-conditioned. The resulting permanent smell is not pleasant.

Heated moments

It’s a pity that, in this climate, funds didn’t extend to including a small refrigerator in the room area. That would have been great. Fridges are desirable in all hotel rooms but, in this climate, they are almost essential.

Disappointment is on the cards

On arrival, the hotel is not well signed and is difficult to find. Car parking falls well below what promotional publicity leads you to believe. There is no private parking. The room card access system fails on a regular basis, resulting in inconvenience for guests and reception desk staff. It’s a bit noisy at night, so they’ve obviously cut corners on soundproofing costs as well as those in other directions. It can be a bit ‘rowdy’ outside and during hours of darkness, more than a little scary. The nearby karaoke bar is a prime suspect.
