Positive Reviews

So much charm and character

From the rich decor and antique furniture in the lobby, to the century old photos spread around throughout the hotel, guests enjoyed the rich culture that blended so easily with the modern comforts provided. They mentioned that the four-poster beds, wooden floors and period-style art works did much to maintain the original feel of the hotel.

Scrumptious breakfast

The service was rated as top class and the chef was praised for the excellent breakfast menu. Guests found a variety of both local and Western dishes and said they were all delicious and served in a relaxing environment.

Quiet boutique hotel

The quiet location in a peaceful street created a wonderful ambience inside the hotel, as well as in the immediate surroundings. The open-air dining area and well-appointed courtyard added to the overall tranquil setting of this boutique heritage hotel.

Negative Reviews

Minor noise issues

The beautiful wooden floors were slightly creaky at times and guests were sometimes disturbed by others getting up during the night. Air-con units also got the blame for some of the noise complaints but didn't do much to spoil the vacation in any other way.

Wi-Fi is intermittent

The Wi-Fi was often quite unstable when guests tried to connect, whether in the rooms or in the public areas. When they did manage to get connected, it was too slow to get anything done.
