Positive Reviews

Exceptional location

Guests found this picturesque location in the historical centre of Georgetown quiet hard to beat. Many well-known eateries, museums, and the famous street art of Penang were within easy walking distance. Even the Komtar bus terminal was reachable by foot, making this hotel convenient as a base for travellers.

Good budget hotel

Basic amenities such as air-con units in the spacious rooms were noted by travellers. They found the store in the ground floor lobby quite convenient. The large list of food items on the menu in the restaurant also added to the value they got for their money here.

Thoughtful staff

Guests found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They were pleased with the prompt response they got to their requests, and most of all, they appreciated the warm welcome and information they got on activities and tours during the check-in procedure.

Negative Reviews

Parking is limited

Parking is on a first-come-first-served basis, which left some visitors without a place to vehicle. Guests complained that there should have been additional spots made available, so that they could all enjoy the convenience of on-site parking.

Noisy place

Since the hotel is set around an internal courtyard, with an atrium from the top all the way to the ground, every sound is amplified. Guests complained about the thin walls too, and found that the hotel in general was not a very quiet one.

Toilets need a clean

The toilets that are closest to the downstairs car park came under some heavy criticism. Guests felt they were constantly dirty and unkept, and deserved a thorough clean from top to bottom.
