Mangrove Hotel (Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates)

The location of the hotel was probably what guests most appreciated. They liked being on the promenade facing the mangrove sanctuary, and felt that all the amenities they needed could be found in the area nearby.

Though there were plenty of contrary opinions, the majority of guests seemed to have approved of the staff members conduct. They were said to be quite approachable, and willing to help them when requested.

While many guests conceded that there were a few issues with the hotel, they went on to say that their room-rate was very competitive compared to other hotels in the area, so they were more than happy to let them slide. They felt they received decent value for money.

This was perhaps the most common, and most serious, complaint Many guests simply stated outright that the property has not been maintained properly, and there is peeling paint, and other maintenance issues that have not been dealt with. In their view a full renovation is needed for the hotel to remain relevant.

This was a fairly common complaint. While guests don't say the pool was so small they couldn't swim in it, they do say that it, and the surrounding terrace, were both comically small when considering the size of the hotel.

Though there were a few contrary opinions, the overwhelming majority of guests were not at all happy with the cleanliness of their room on check in. While it could sometimes be remedied after a word with reception this wasn't always the case, and it gave guests a very bad first impression.
