Review summary

Summarized by AI from 100+ reviews

This hotel holds a unique place in pop culture history, famously serving as a filming location for the iconic movie National Lampoon's Vacation, a feature that draws some guests seeking a nostalgic experience. However, the overall guest experience is significantly impacted by pervasive cleanliness issues and outdated room conditions. While some guests find the staff to be friendly and helpful, many report a severe lack of basic amenities. This hotel is primarily suited for budget travelers who prioritize cost over comfort and are prepared for significant maintenance issues, or for movie enthusiasts on a specific pilgrimage. To enhance your stay, it is advisable to manage expectations regarding the hotel's condition and be prepared for a no-frills experience.
