The Bedstee Hotel is a new concept that recreates the style of capsule hotels in a real Dutch vintage tradition: sleeping in a closet. The hotel has 30 comfortable and private Bedstee boxes, only for adults, totally renewed, in 2017. All the bedstee will welcome you in a relaxing and informal sphere. Each box has a double and luxe bed, a closet for cabin luggage, led mood light and media panel for recharging your phone. Luxe bathrooms are separate for men and women; the showers, in Delfts blue style, have a powerful rain shower and eco-all natural toiletries. The hotel has a bar and eating room, completely vegan/vegetarian and organic and it is situated in the most exclusive neighborhood of Amsterdam and located in an historical building in authentic architectonic style "Amsterdamse School" (Art Deco). The location is ideal, in the beautiful and quiet surroundings of the museum district where you can find the Van Gogh Museum, Rijks Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, all located next to the Museumplein. The famous Vondelpark is just around the corner. For some exciting nightlife you can visit the Leidseplein, which is within only ten minutes walking distance.

The owner of the suites, Norman, is described as one of the friendliest and most passionate hosts that guests have ever encountered. Guests say that he runs through everything they need to know in a very comprehensive check-in process, and gives them great “inside information” so that they can really enjoy their Amsterdam holiday.
Guests describe the apartments as having everything they needed. It was extremely rare to find any comments describing things guests wished had been there. For many this was a pleasant surprise, since they were quite used to “fully-equipped” rentals being somewhat less equipped than “fully”.
Many guests were initially concerned that the location was a bit further from the centre than they ideally wanted. Once they arrived and settled in, however, the suites location became one of the things they most appreciated. They describe it as incredibly easy to get into central Amsterdam by tram. They also have high praise for the neighbourhood itself, which they describe as lovely.
There aren't really any negative comments of any substance concerning Heemkerk Suites. It was pointed out that, as an apartment rental, rather than apart-hotel, there is no on-site check-in. While this seems like it might be an issue, guests never really experienced any problems with the check in procedure.
While guests didn't consider the suites poor value, some did comment that they were a bit more expensive than hotels they were considering.
A couple of guests commented that they didn't like the eco-internet concept, where Wi-Fi is turned off during sleeping hours.
