Positive Reviews

Main street location.

Dunster is a busy little place and the hotel’s main street location is a real advantage for sightseeing and souvenir collecting guests.

Clean and welcoming.

Staff are superb and can’t do enough to answer queries and help guests enjoy their visit. The hotel is clean and full of character and there’s great coffee to be enjoyed in the Coffee Lounge which is also open to the public; so plenty of people to chat to

A few useful freebies.

Free parking is a huge bonus in this really busy little village where there don’t seem to be any other available spaces at all. It might date back to the 1750s but free Wi-Fi is a must in the 21st century.

Negative Reviews

Stop... No wait ... Now go.

There are traffic lights outside so, from the early hours, there is much traffic activity surrounding them. The hotel doesn’t have any secondary glazing so there’s no noise protection. Higher floor rooms suffer least, though. More substantial curtains wou

Poor shower pressure.

They suffer the same as any seaside B+B in that shower pressure can be non-existent.

Dunster needs a dusting.

Cleaning isn’t appalling but it’s certainly not top notch with long standing dust apparent in room areas. Carpets, too, need a 'shampoo and set', at least in some rooms and areas.
