Positive Reviews

Contemporary, clean rooms.

Guests love the rooms, which they say are comfortable and very clean. Brxxl 5 City Centre certainly seems to be part of a new generation of smart, contemporary hostels with both private, hotel-style rooms and comfortable, small dorms, so you should have a good night's sleep here.

Great transport links.

With good transport links on the doorstep, including metro and tram stops, guests rate the ease of travel around Brussels from this hostel. If you're arriving by train, it's also within walking distance of the station, which many guests have found very convenient.

Friendly service.

The friendly service made a good impression on lots of the guests here, with personable reception staff who are keen to get to know you and to make sure you have a good stay. Plus, the housekeeping team seems to do a great job of keeping the rooms spotless.

Negative Reviews

Rooms need more light.

Some guests find that the rooms are lacking in light, both natural and from lights and lamps within the room, which can create a bit of a dim atmosphere, as well as practical issues, like struggling to read your book clearly without an additional source of light.

No kitchen facilities.

Guests would appreciate full kitchen facilities within the hostel, since currently there's only a microwave and kettle within the communal area. Since no breakfast is provided either, you'll have to find all your meals elsewhere, and dining out can be expensive in Brussels.

Dodgy neighbourhood at night.

While the neighbourhood is reasonably central, some guests didn't feel particularly safe there. It's probably not a place for wandering around in at night, particularly if you're on your own, so it's worth considering that when making your travel plans to get there.
