Positive Reviews

Museum Zone

The Hotel Aalders has the perfect location for museum attendance After all, that is a huge draw for Amsterdam After spending the day taking in the Van Goghs, visitors appreciate coming back to the quiet hotel for a little rest before diving into the night The comfy bed is great for overnight and afternoon sleep.

Thanks, Bart

When you stay at the Hotel Aalders you might run into an Aalders family member Bart, the owner, is there to make sure your needs are met That could mean an early check-in, directions to a great restaurant or helping you send out your laundry Yes, this is a family run establishment and it's a great family to spend time with!

Bring The Family

Speaking of families, the hotel will welcome yours There are larger rooms that can accommodate parents and children even with the addition of cribs or toddler beds It also helps that there isn't a lot of noise coming from the street A rarity in Amsterdam.

Negative Reviews

Small Room Turns Out To Be Small

On the hotel website, the first room option is described as "small room " However, when some guests booked this room they were upset to find out it was actually quite small Fortunately, the hotel is happy to provide an upgrade provided the larger rooms are available.

A Bit Pricey For A Family

As with the size of the rooms, the pricing policies should come as no surprise to guests who are booking in advance The location and breakfast is greatly appreciated but folks still are hung up on the price while others think it is a great value.

Avoid Room Number One

Apparently, there are some "thin walls" at the hotel That is to be expected with older buildings One recent guest warned fellow travellers to avoid room number one because you'll be hearing everything from your neighbour Everything.
